Keisi Katiaj - Graphic Design MA

Introducing Keisi Katiaj from Albania, who will be soon graduating from METU in summer 2020

Im Keisi Katiaj from Albania

1. Which program did you study?

Graphic Design MA

2. How would you describe your journey at METU?

It was one of the best experiences I have had, since it was my first time being away from my country and studying in a program which I really enjoy, in a beautiful and vivid city like Budapest, and it made me have a new and different approach and perspective towards arts and design.

3. What were the aspects which you liked the most studying here and being a part of the community?

There were many positive aspects from this experience, mentioning here the multi-cultural environment of the students which of course made me learn more about the Hungarian culture as well as other ones, along with many great experiences in studying and working but of course also enjoying Hungary, where every street and corner is filled with history, and that is what I think made this journey even better!

4. What was the best thing you liked about your study program?

Coming to a new country is always a challenge especially when you are an art student with a different background culture, but besides learning more about art and design, what I really liked was the understanding and the communication between me and the professors, which would always let you explore your own ideas and creativity and then later on help you show it in the best way possible, so the project would be authentic and unique.

5. How would you describe your METU experience in one sentence?

Two years full of excitement, creativity and joy that went by so fast and in overall, a wonderful challenge and experience.

6. What are you doing/plans after graduating from METU?

Continuing of course working on the art and design field in companies and studios but also as a freelancer, and always trying to give the best from myself!
