We are happy to inform you that METU continues its cultural-educational series of events with the Arab World in the spotlight.

The aim is to share culturally important information to have a better understanding of this diverse region by having a glimpse into its culture, traditions and daily life. The upcoming country in the spotlight is Kuwait on the occasion of its national holiday. The event is hosted by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Budapest.

Guest lecturers: 
Dr. János Hóvári, historian, Turcologist, diplomat, honorary professor at the University of Pécs, the ambassador of Hungary to Kuwait (2008-10) and
Lilla Farmosi, international administration expert with extensive trips to numerous countries in the Middle East, she spent one and a half years on a military basis in Kuwait.

Language of event: Arabic and Hungarian (some sections in English) with translation/interpretation.
