Dr habil. László Vass Awarded with the Medal of Hungarian Order of Merit Knight’s Cross

We are proud to announce that Dr habil. László Vass , the  rector emeritus of METU has been awarded with the medal of  Hungarian Order of Merit Knight’s Cross civil class

on the occasion of the national holiday of 15th March.

Dr László Vass , the  rector emeritus of Budapest Metropolitan University as a recognition of his research in the field of political sciences, management and business administration sciences, having been a successful university leader and his role fulfilled in the scientific public life. 

Dr. habil. László Vass economist, political scientist, PhD, the founder of METU (and its predecessor, Budapest School of Communication) was the Director General and rector for 18 years, until October 2018. The fact that METU has become the biggest private university in Hungary is a result of his dedicated and committed work.

His research field is government, public administration, public management, public policy and representation of interests. He teaches subjects in Hungarian and English in the fields of public administration, public affairs, CSR, lobbying and public policy. He has a wide range of publications on the topics of the relationship between public administration and politics, the civil services systems, the public policy communication and networks, published in Hungary and abroad.

Dr habil. László Vass as a rector emeritus represents our University in Hungarian and international forums and is an active professor, to the contentment of our students.

We all wholeheartedly congratulate him.
