Are you a fan of recycling and really like second-hand shops?

BRING IT AND SWAP IT FOR SOMETHING ELSE!

Clothing swap and Fashion show

On April 1st, the Budapest Metropolitan University organized the first free event where you could get rid of your unworn clothes and find new treasures in the name of sustainability.

Many people were interested and many clothes found new owners. The sustainable event is not stopping, it's CLOTHING SWAP time again.

Programs:

Infopark Building I, Lobby

11:00 Gate opening

11:00-16:00 Clothing swap

11:00-16:00 SEWING WORKSHOP (making vegetable and fruit bags using old curtains and linen, making hair elastics/scrunchies, canvas bags, and trinkets from leftover defective materials based on a pattern.)

11:00-16:00 PATCHWORK WORKSHOP (Make a patchwork top, based on a pattern, for which you can bring any elastic material if you want to work with your own fabrics - old sweater, t-shirt, leggings)

Registration is not required for the workshop. So participation can take place on a first-come, first-served basis and depending on capacity.

During the event, Réka Dubrawszky, a costume designer, will be available to help you choose the right pieces.

12:00-12:45 BERLIN VONALBAN – FLOATING ART IN BERLIN

13:00-13:45 Presentation by Borbála Ferencz (Borbála), round table discussion.

14:00-14:30 Fashion show (sets compiled from previous offerings, which can be taken home after the show).

Information:

Bring your excess clean clothes, jewelry, or accessories in good condition and drop them off at the entrance of the building. Then, select from the items already on display. Women's, men's, and children's clothes are also available.
You can bring and take as many items as you like but try to keep a balance.

Any items left over from the clothing swap will be donated to the Hungarian Red Cross Budapest Metropolitan Organisation, which also welcomes toy donations. If you can, bring toys and put them in the collection box by the entrance.

Partisan Coffee will be open throughout the event to ensure food and drink is available.

Leave happy, with new experiences and new clothes!
