6-10 May 2024 - workshops in Budapest

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 10 MARCH 2024

Location: Budapest, METU Infopark

Focus:

The main aim of the cooperation is to understand the upcoming changes in the EU that will affect the textile and fashion industry. The EU Textile Strategy and its changes will serve as a pilot and a model for all other sectors of the design industry. We will look at local case studies, understand the changes in legislation, communication and fashion production and try to map out the ideal ways of working in the fashion/textile SME sector in the near future.

Keywords:

circular fashion, circular industry, cultural sustainability Europe, fashion industry, local, sustainability, supply chain, textile industry, regional, SME.

Goals:

This knowledge and methods can be developed further via upcoming meetings and can be implemented into local fashion business cases or in academic courses as well.

Outcome:

Fashion/textile toolbox for SME’s, networks within the industry, ideas to develop for circular fashion grants, joined paper / article.

Participants / How to Apply:

Ideally, we would like to involve students from fashion design, textile design, sustainability studies, communication, (fashion) business, fashion management, BA or MA level.
