In my thesis, starting from the post-internet phenomenon, I explore how our contemporary experiences influence and change the re-thinking and re-discovering of the photographic medium. In the first part of my thesis I examine the socio-cultural and artistic aspects of post-internet tendencies. I present the possible origins and interpretations of it, and afterwards, I turn to the photographic aspects of my examination, in which I analyze the change of the creator's personality from the beginning of photography to the present era. Following the details of my personal motives, I illustrate through artists put in loose thematic groups gathered within a subjective selection, how the features of the cross-section of post-internet and post-photographic trends appear in the work of the investigated creators. In the last part of my dissertation, I present my own plan, which describes a concept that can be used to create a potential future project. I consider my thesis an experimental research, in which I invite the reader to take a plunge in the diverse world of international post-internet art.
