Works of METU students at Palazzo Michiel
VENICE DESIGN is one of the largest international design expos, which is organized at the time of La Biennale di Venezia in Palazzo Michiel for the third time this year between 26 May and 25 November. The installation of METU reflects the flexible, creative structure of our institution and our forward-looking education model which reflect the challenges of the 21st century through the work of our students’ innovative work.
50 artist and designers from 30 countries were invited to present their ideas and visions. The artists explore space planning and the use of spaces of the 21st century through innovative objects, planning methods, and experimental installations. METU created a customized installation to the space in Venice which is in line with the topic of the 12th Biennale Architettura “Freespace”.42 METU students present their works in the installation, with the help of S.Anselmo S.p.A, who helped us with the procurement of the Italian-style bricks used in the artwork.
