Students from four universities competed in the STARTUPLAB international startup competition, this year in an online format.

The 4 institutions (Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Media University of Stuttgart and Budapest Metropolitan University) compared their skills in teams of five. The event was organized on November 5, 2020 by Budapest Metropolitan University. 

In the day-long competition, the teams came up with a startup concept which they also managed based on certain with the help of the Eduardo simulation game. Once again, the virtual event provided ample space for student creativity, especially in developing and implementing business strategies. A short presentation of the result was made at the end, which was presented to a jury of teachers from the participating universities. The competition ended with a developmental evaluation of the teams’ performance.
The winner this year was the METU team, whose members are: Bianka Csík, Melinda Fazekas, Dávid Szitási, Regina Varga, Saif U. Khan and Merve Tabakcıoğlu.
