EXCHANGE FILMS at the Finnish Film Days
The Finnish Film Days is going to be held again for the ninth time between 5-9 February. At this event promising young film talents will get a chance to be introduced to the Finnish-Hungarian student film evening: “EXCHANGE FILMS” program. Young filmmakers make short films in international co-production under the professional guidance of our instructors. Finnish writers work along with Hungarian directors and make short films in Budapest.
In 2019, during the Finnish Film Days one of our master students, Dóra Laky, premiered her short film “The way of Me”. Dora's Finnish counterparts were invited to the event and screened a selection of their own short films.
Finnish films have traditionally been characterized by experimentation, so the organizers have enthusiastically included brand new short and documentary films. This year, to create a tradition, other Finnish-Hungarian co-production short films will be produced in collaboration with METU and Finnagora, and will be shown at a separate section of the festival at Premier Kultcafé at 4pm on the 7th of February.
